Club Penguin In UK?

Hey, guess what? Well, as you’ve probably guessed from the title, Club Penguin has opened up an office in the UK! It is so they can hear from all of us and reply to our emails and stuff faster! To celebrate, there’s going to be a party in the real world! So lucky you people in the Greater London area- you get to meet mods and feed real penguins! Here’s the invite:

When: May 3, 11am – 4pm

Where: ZSL London Zoo

Who: Everyone is invited!

What: Free access to the zoo, a chance to feed real penguins, and lots of activities (there might even be a ‘best penguin costume competition’)!

Also there will soon be a UK site at http://www.clubpenguin.co.uk !

Until next time…

Kimi’s Kolumn #2

Greetings penguins of the world! I have returned! Muh ha ha ha hah! And I bring great tidings of joy! Lot’s of fun, exciting stuff! Such as some glitches and tips! Enjoy!

Rockhopper finding tip:

If you walk your red puffle, take it to the town centre and dance (this does have a point, I’m not just messing!), if it turns slightly left or right, it means he’s on the server you are on and that is the way to go, if it just bounces normally, he isn’t on that server, or not online at all (if he’s in a secret room this doesn’t work).

Into Korner news, this month’s party will take place next week, on Monday for a whole week. It will be the puffle party, which won the vote! The Korner will be open normal time (10:30pm PST (Penguin Standard Time)) at the usual place (Kimi 07’s igloo, server Belly Slide). Please bring along your puffles, and wear puffle clothing if you have any.

That’s all for now!

Hasta la vista, baby!

Coins For Change

Yesterday, on Christmas Day, the results of coins for change were announced. For those who don’t know, Coins for Change was where penguins could donate their virtual coins to three different causes: Kids Health, Kids in Developing Countries and the Environment. The amount of virtual coins donated in Club Penguin determined how much of $1,000,000 in real money would be donated to each cause. Over 2.5 million penguins donated, making a total sum of over 2 Billion coins overall. 39.4% of coins were donated to Kids Health, which means that the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which works to prevent pediatric HIV infection, will recieve $394,000 real money. 33% of coins were donated to the Environment cause, which means that the World Wildlife Foundation will recieve $330,000 real money towards it’s efforts to protect the planet and help build a future where people live in harmony with nature. 27.6% of coins were donated to the Kids in Developing Countries cause, which means that $276,000 real money will be donated to Free The Children, whose primary goals are to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to affect positive change.

That’s the results folks! After ten days hard donating, we finally see the result of our hard work.

That’s all from me for now!

Until next time…
